ABOUT ME
Hello! I'm Tucker
I'm a first-year student in the Master of Microbial Biotechnology program at NC State University. After completing my Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, I was driven to gain a more well-rounded perspective of the biotechnology industry through a variety of hands-on experiences in the MMB program.

The MMB Program
The Master of Microbial Biotechnology (MMB) program is a Professional Science Master's (PSM) program that creates a unique blend of science and business education through practical training in the biotechnology industry. As students, we participate in practical industry experiences, professional networking, MBA-level coursework, and internships, which provide us with the tools necessary for a successful career in the biotechnology industry.
Career Aspirations
After working for a long time in both clinical research and diagnostics in the veterinary setting, I look forward to expanding my knowledge into human medicine and diagnostic testing. I have aligned my current and future coursework in the immunology, epidemiology, and microbial biotechnology sectors, and am currently searching for an internship working on research and development in diagnostic testing. It is also a goal of mine to expand my role to advance my outlook to larger-scale and "big picture" projects.
